Udine e Gorizia, crocevia di popoli, luoghi di incontro di identità e culture diverse. Nel passato e nel presente occasioni di integrazione e di crescita umana. Entrambe in Friuli Venezia Giulia, entrambe città dal ricco patrimonio architettonico. Perché non osservarle con occhi nuovi?

Dall’incontro delle due scuole nasce il desiderio di guardare nella stessa direzione, di attivarsi insieme scoprendole caratteristiche comuni. La ricerca di un logo che esprima la volontà di trovarsi e collaborare. Il simbolismo del colore: Il blue del cielo e delle infinite opportunità, il rosso della passione e dell’allegria, il bianco dell’apertura e dell’integrazione. Il verbo MEET che invita ad entrare nel cerchio delle relazioni sincere e proficue, i due poli UD e GO che richiamano i luoghi favorevoli al gemellaggio: realtà vicine e diverse ma in armonia, ambienti interscambiabili di uguale dignità e importanza. Il cerchio come forma perfetta, pienezza della scambio, sintonia celeste. 

2020 inizio della cooperazione, anno in cui Gorizia-Nova Gorica è stata designata “ Capitale Europea della Cultura 2025”. Annuncio accolto con esultanza dagli abitanti radunati in piazza Transalpina, luogo simbolico dove un tempo sorgeva un muro divisorio tra Europa Occidentale e Orientale. La scelta è significativa perché Gorizia-Nova Gorica ha una identità complessa che reca i segni della cultura italiana, di quella slava e anche di quella germanica ( in passato centro rilevante dell’Impero Asburgico).  

Udine and Gorizia, crossroads of peoples, meeting points of diverse identities and different cultures. Opportunities for integration and human growth in the past and the present. Both in Friuli Venezia Giulia, both endowed with a rich architectural heritage. Why not observe them with new eyes?

Both schools wish to look in the same direction and their students aim at discovering their common interests and human qualities. The search for a logo that expresses their willingness to cooperate is fundamental. The symbolism of colours: blue like the endless sky and the infinite opportunities; red like the fire of passion and joy; white like openness, the right path to integration. The verb to MEET is an invitation to join the circle of sincere and fertile human relationships. UD and GO are favourable places for twinning: neighbouring worlds, different but of equal dignity. The circle as the perfect shape riminding us of the significance of the cultural exchange. 

2020 marks the beginning of a thriving cooperation between the 2 schools. It is also the year of the designation of Gorizia-Nova Gorica jointly as 2025 European Capital of Culture, news welcomed by the respective inhabitants gathered in Transalpina square, where a dividing wall existed once to separate Western from Eastern Europe. The choice of Gorizia-Nova Gorica is meaningful: the complex identity of the place bears marks of Italian, Slavic and Germanic culture (it was part of the Habsburg Empire).
